1. Introduction
Our website, https://www.dubzoic.net (hereinafter: “the website”), uses cookies and similar technologies (local storage, session storage, pixels). For convenience, we refer to all of these as “cookies” in this document unless a distinction is needed.
Cookies may be placed by us or by third parties whose services we use (for example analytics, embedded video, or audio players). We inform you below about the categories of cookies used, their purpose, and how you can manage your choices.
Cookie consent banner: We use the WordPress plugin Complianz | GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent to display the consent banner (“Gestisci consenso”), record your preferences, and block non-essential cookies until you consent where required by law.
2. What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet, or smartphone when you visit a website. The information in the cookie can be read on a later visit by the website that placed it or by a third party that placed it.
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain for a set period or until you delete them.
3. What are scripts?
A script is a piece of program code used to make our website work properly and interactively. Scripts may run on our server (for example WordPress) or in your browser (for example analytics or embedded media). Scripts may set or read cookies.
4. What is a web beacon?
A web beacon (or pixel tag) is a small, often invisible element used to measure whether content was viewed or to understand how users interact with a page. Beacons may rely on cookies or similar identifiers.
5. Cookie categories we use
5.1 Strictly necessary / functional cookies
These cookies are required for the website to function, for security, or to remember choices that are essential to the service you request. They include, for example:
- WordPress technical cookies (cookie test, session for logged-in administrators);
- Complianz cookies that store your consent choices and banner status (
cmplz_*).
Where permitted by law, we may place strictly necessary cookies without asking for consent, because the website cannot operate correctly without them or because they only store your privacy choices.
5.2 Preferences cookies
These cookies remember settings that improve your experience but are not strictly required, such as language or interface preferences. We only place them if you consent via our cookie banner (Complianz category: Preferences).
5.3 Statistics / analytics cookies
We use Matomo to understand how visitors use our website (which pages are viewed, how users arrive, general device/browser information). This helps us improve content and our online audio tools.
Matomo cookies (for example _pk_id, _pk_ses, _pk_ref) are placed only if you consent to Statistics cookies in our banner, unless a strictly necessary configuration applies under applicable law.
We aim to configure Matomo with IP address anonymisation where technically enabled. Matomo is hosted at: [SELF-HOSTED URL / HOSTING PROVIDER — CONFIRM IN MATOMO ADMIN].
More information: Matomo Privacy Policy.
5.4 Marketing / tracking cookies
Marketing or tracking cookies are used to build profiles for advertising or to follow users across websites. We use such technologies only when you consent to the Marketing category in our banner.
On our site, this category mainly relates to embedded third-party content that may set tracking cookies when you interact with it, for example:
- YouTube (embedded videos) — cookies such as
YSC,VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE,PREFmay be set when you play or load embedded content; - other platforms if embedded on specific pages (see Section 6).
Our browser-based audio generators (Kick, Snare, Hi-Hat, Bass, Dub Siren under /machines/) do not set marketing cookies. Audio is processed locally via the Web Audio API; preset sharing only changes the URL in your browser unless you separately trigger analytics by visiting the page.
