1. Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing or using any Dubzoic audio tool made available in live mode on www.dubzoic.net (including all current and future online generators, synthesizers, drum machines, effects, and related features such as preset sharing, MIDI input, virtual keyboard, WAV export, and any other interactive sound tool accessible through the website without download of a standalone application), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree, you must not use the tools.

These Terms apply to all live online audio tools hosted on the Dubzoic website, whether or not they are individually named in this document. They apply to all users worldwide. Where mandatory local consumer or privacy laws grant you rights that cannot be waived by contract, those rights remain unaffected.

2. Description of the Service

Dubzoic provides free, browser-based audio synthesis and sound-design tools accessible in live mode on www.dubzoic.net. The tools are intended for creative, educational, and personal use. They generate audio in real time or as downloadable files (for example WAV samples) using Web Audio and related web technologies. No account is required unless separately specified on the website.

The service is provided free of charge and is made available on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

3. Hobby Project — No Guarantee of Availability or Performance

WP Dubzoic is developed and maintained by Dubzoic as an independent, free-time / hobby project. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • updates, bug fixes, and new features are released when possible, without a fixed schedule;
  • the tools may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time, with or without notice;
  • no guarantee is given that the tools will function correctly, without interruption, or at 100% reliability on every device, browser, operating system, or audio setup;
  • compatibility with third-party browsers, plugins, MIDI devices, audio interfaces, speakers, headphones, or DAWs is not warranted.

You use the tools at your own risk.

4. License to Use (Free Online Use)

Subject to these Terms, Dubzoic grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the live online tools on the website for personal, educational, and non-commercial creative purposes, unless commercial use of exported sounds is permitted under Section 6 below.

This license allows normal browser use only. It does not grant any right to acquire, copy, or republish the underlying software.

You may not, without prior written permission from Dubzoic:

  • copy, save, scrape, download, mirror, archive, or republish any source code or part of the source code delivered through the live tools or website pages (including JavaScript, CSS, HTML, PHP, assets, algorithms, or compiled/minified equivalents);
  • reproduce, redistribute, sublicense, sell, or commercially exploit the software, design assets, user interface, or underlying technology;
  • publish, host, or embed copied code on another website, repository, app store, plugin marketplace, or offline product;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract source code or trade secrets except where expressly permitted by mandatory applicable law;
  • remove or alter copyright notices, branding, or legal notices;
  • use the tools in any way that violates applicable law or infringes third-party rights.

Note on normal browser behaviour: your browser may temporarily cache files so the tools can run. That technical caching is not a grant of ownership or republication rights. Anything beyond ordinary personal use of the live service requires Dubzoic’s written consent.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Dubzoic Rights

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Dubzoic live online audio tools — including software, source code, user interface, layout, branding, documentation, graphics, and the overall concept of providing these specific online generators with their distinctive features (such as hardware-style controls, preset export/import, and patch sharing via URL) — remain the property of Dubzoic or its licensors, protected to the fullest extent permitted by applicable intellectual property laws.

Can code copying be prohibited? Yes, within the limits of law. Software and web code are protected by copyright as original works. These Terms reinforce that protection by forbidding saving, copying, and republishing the code or portions of it without permission. This does not prevent you from using the tools as intended in your browser, nor does it claim rights over ideas, facts, or musical genres that are not protectable by law.

Important legal note: copyright protects the expression of a work (code, text, graphics, specific UI arrangement), not abstract ideas or methods in themselves. Enforcement may vary by country. Nothing in these Terms claims protection beyond what is legally enforceable in your jurisdiction.

5.2 Your Content

Audio files, presets, and creative works you produce using the tools belong to you, subject to these Terms and any third-party rights (for example, if you incorporate external copyrighted material). Dubzoic does not claim ownership of sounds you create.

5.3 Patch Sharing

When you use patch-sharing features (including URLs that encode parameter settings), you are responsible for what you share and publish. Dubzoic is not responsible for third-party use of links or presets you distribute.

6. Commercial Use and Attribution

You may use sounds exported from the tools in commercial music productions, releases, broadcasts, or other commercial works provided that you give proper credit in a reasonable and visible form, for example in liner notes, video descriptions, metadata, or project documentation:

Credit example:
“Sounds created with WP Dubzoic tools — www.dubzoic.net — by Dubzoic”

If credit is given digitally, include a working hyperlink to www.dubzoic.net where practicable.

Redistribution or resale of the raw exported files as standalone sample packs or sound libraries without a separate written license from Dubzoic is not permitted under these free-use Terms.

7. Audio, Equipment, and Safety Disclaimer

Sound generation tools can produce loud, sudden, or high-frequency content. You are solely responsible for:

  • monitoring output levels and protecting your hearing;
  • using appropriate limiters, volume control, and safe listening practices;
  • ensuring that your speakers, headphones, amplifiers, audio interfaces, and other equipment are operated within safe specifications.

Dubzoic disclaims all liability for hearing damage, equipment damage, data loss, or any physical or property harm arising from use or misuse of the tools, including excessive volume, faulty cabling, incompatible MIDI devices, browser crashes, or incorrect export settings.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the tools and all related materials are provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.

Dubzoic does not warrant that:

  • generated audio will be free of clicks, distortion, or artifacts in every configuration;
  • MIDI, keyboard, or export features will work in every environment;
  • shared presets or URLs will remain valid after updates;
  • results will meet professional mastering, broadcast, or medical/acoustic standards.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Dubzoic, its owner, contributors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the tools.

In any case, total liability for direct damages shall not exceed zero (€0) where permitted by law, reflecting the free nature of the service.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, liability is limited to the minimum extent required by law.

10. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the tools to:

  • copy, scrape, mirror, or republish website code, assets, or tool interfaces;
  • violate any applicable law or regulation;
  • infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of third parties;
  • transmit malware, abuse server resources, or attempt unauthorized access;
  • harass, defame, or harm others;
  • misrepresent affiliation with Dubzoic or imply official endorsement without permission.

11. Third-Party Services and Technology

The tools rely on web browsers, Web Audio APIs, optional Web MIDI, and third-party hosting/infrastructure. Dubzoic is not responsible for failures, policy changes, or limitations imposed by browsers, device manufacturers, hosting providers, or internet connectivity.

12. Privacy and Preset Analytics (Summary)

Audio synthesis generally runs locally in your browser. Dubzoic does not collect or store the audio you generate through these tools unless a specific feature explicitly states otherwise.

12.1 Preset usage analytics

To understand how the tools are used and to improve them over time, Dubzoic may use analytics or tracking mechanisms related to generated presets (for example: which generator was used, parameter combinations, share/export actions, or anonymous usage counters). Such data is used only for internal statistics, maintenance, and product improvement.

Dubzoic does not store personal data through these tools. In particular:

  • no name, email address, postal address, or account profile is collected by the generators themselves;
  • no IP address is stored by Dubzoic in connection with preset tracking or generator use;
  • no deliberate effort is made to identify individual users from preset analytics.

Any technical information processed for preset statistics is limited to what is necessary for anonymous, aggregate insight (for example: tool type, preset parameters, timestamps without user identity).

12.2 Patch sharing and URLs

When you use patch-sharing features (including URLs that encode parameter settings), those values may appear in the address bar or in links you share. Anyone with the link can view the encoded settings. Shared links are not a private communication channel.

12.3 Website cookies and third parties

The broader website at www.dubzoic.net may use cookies, analytics, or hosting infrastructure governed by a separate privacy policy, if published. That is distinct from the generator preset analytics described above. Dubzoic’s stated policy for the sound tools remains: no personal data and no IP storage for preset-related tracking.

13. Changes to These Terms

Dubzoic may update these Terms at any time. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised when changes are made. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, where permitted by law.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

Unless mandatory local law requires otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of Italy, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts in Italy shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence within the European Union or other applicable regions.

Before formal proceedings, users are encouraged to contact Dubzoic in good faith to seek an informal resolution.

15. Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Dubzoic regarding use of the live online audio tools on www.dubzoic.net, superseding prior informal understandings on the same subject.
